On this page you delete your OrenChat account — without the app, and even when the account is blocked. Enter the account's e-mail or phone number, receive a verification code by SMS at the account's verified phone number, and confirm.
What happens after you confirm
- The account is blocked at once, and every device is signed out of it.
- After 30 days the account is deleted for good: the profile, the personal details, the phone numbers, the friendships and the settings. Until then you can cancel: open the app and choose "Cancel the deletion".
- An account with additional profiles is deleted together with them.
- What remains: messages you wrote in rooms show as "Deleted user" until they are deleted by their own retention time, and private messages sent to others stay with them. Evidence for an open report is kept until the report is handled.
- Enforcement logs — the details of the sign-ins to the account: the network address, the provider, the country and the device — are kept for one more year after the deletion, for enforcement only, and then deleted.
Not getting a code?
The code is sent only to the phone number verified on the account. If the account has no verified number, or you cannot reach it, write to us from the account's e-mail and we will handle the request: [email protected].
You can also delete it from within the app: "Account security" → "Delete my account".
